creator's notes: first I'd like to thank my friend tifaisbatmannow for building this monster in the first place.  Thanks to them I didn't have to wrestle this monstrosity out of the primordial muck myself and for that I am eternally grateful.  All I did was tweak the design a little and stuff it full of cc clutter, something that was a load of fun.  My favorite moment of triumph was finding those art nouveau windows.  Aren't they glorious?  My only real heartbreak is that I couldn't find anything even close to the mako tubes the boys got put in for those five years.  I did find the perfect ones - but they were for Sims2.  I was a little heartbroken, ngl.  The closest I could come for S3 was the body sculptor you can get with enough wish fulfillment points.  If anyone finds something better, I would love to hear about it. 


known issues:  there are no bathrooms!  I know I've added bathrooms to every other house but I just didn't with this one.  It's pretty much canon ie. the inhabitants of Nibelheim are camels that don't ever pee.  The friend that I got the building from had converted some of the rooms to bathrooms however and they'd be really easy to convert back that way.  And on that note, this house is canon - sooooo, if you're planning on living in it, you will have to move some of the furniture.  That place is a cluttered mess with stools and cabinets in the way of easy access  for anyone, much less Sims that can't walk up stairs without serious contemplation.  And on a last note, the file is pretty big so be prepared for a bit of download time depending on your connection and computer speed.  No other issues I'm aware of atm.

the Merrye Makers at Mod the Sims have lovely blacksmith items in package format that I used as well.  In fact, they've just got a lot of lovely medieval cc full stop.

Creator's Notes:  first off, look at those counters.  Look at them!!  Aren't they glorious?  Yeah, that took so much serious game cheating to do it was insane.  Counters don't want to do that naturally.  Also, huzzah!  Another split level!  I think I did much better with it this time around.  And I had So. Much. Fun! with the clutter for this building, you don't even know.  Or probably want to know.  But yes, I love clutter.  The pipes were a challenge and I seriously fudged it much harder than I've had to for any previous houses.  I make no apologies.  But I won't be adverse to seeing anyone else do it better.  My little stickler heart is not happy with my version of the pipes.  Everything else though was a blast and I got seriously carried away with hiding goodies around the building.  I intentionally didn't show them all so there's something extra to find when you put it in your own game.  And the sims in my game will not leave this place alone!  They visit it more than the bar and I have no idea why.  Just, at three in the morning, it's crowded.  Weirdos.  I did use a lot more of the Future EP and Supernatural EP than I usually do in putting this together but it just worked.  All and all I"m really happy with the way this one came out. I mean -  Look at those counters!

Known Issues:  another split level house so any lighting hanging from the ceiling won't work in the middle of the room.  Also painting near the door takes some creativity thanks to having to drop the door down thanks to the split level.  Still, I think it turned out less sloppy than my first attempt so things should be smoother.  None others I'm aware of atm.

also I could not find the simpaks version of an upright piano that would transfer with my shared uploads so here's where you can download armiel's beautiful version at modthesims. 

Creator's Notes:  I'll start off by saying I had a lot of fun with this house and mostly it was finding decorations for Tifa's room.  SO MUCH CUTE STUFF!!  And I couldn't use even a fraction of it and stay true to the game but - cute stuff.  In other news... how many people were eating at that house?  I mean, it's just Tifa and her dad living there but they've got a table set for three PLUS a meal in the upstairs room and I've really got to wonder if they weren't feeding half the village or something.  Also I actually found a cute little checked table cloth for that upstairs table but it was after I'd taken the pictures and I'm lazy so basically you get what you see in the pictures but cuter for the table.  Also also - patterning the carpets was hard and I'm still not happy with the way they turned out.  The bedspreads weren't much better.  And I discovered just how hard it is to make a cute little girl in game because dang, between those crazy eyebrows and the hair, there really weren't a lot of options for non-brutish going on.  Thank God for cc.  Tifa's dad though (not pictured) still looked like a dork.  Have you seriously paid attention to what he's wearing in-game?  And yes, I did add a bathroom and Tifa's is the only house in the village with an indoor bathroom.  Maybe Tifa's dad could afford it because he wasn't buying up all the useless empty glass bottles in the area instead.

Known Issues:  none that I'm aware of atm.

Creator's Notes:  first off, I stuck with OG as much as possible for the inn and only used Crisis Core when I couldn't get a match for the original game.  There were differences in some of the set up between the two games and I figured I'd better pick one and go with it (heck even in the games themselves there are problems - like the windows that show up on the outside and not the inside for instance!).  I'll always skew on the OG side when there are multiple versions of something.  I also seriously regret not being able to find the right blankets for the bed but until I learn to make my own cc I'm going with what I've got.  I had a heck of a lot of fun decorating the shelves in the kitchen and the front desk.  Finding pictures was fun too.  Of course I added an outhouse here as well, which I like to think the inn owners thought of as 'homey'.  And I made the lot residential rather than commercial or a base camp because I figured it would give more flexibility in game play.  And I just want to take a minute and love on all the cc creators that make giant metal canisters.  Because, dang, do I need them.


Known Issues: none I'm aware of atm.

I tried to include everyone and everywhere I drew my cc from.  That said, if you see something of yours that's not credited, please tell me and I'll add it immediately!  CC makes the Sims go 'round and the people that work so hard to create it deserve all the credit.

Creator's notes:  first?  Split-levels are HARD!  I had no idea when I started on what I thought was going to be the easiest house in Nibelheim that I'd have to cheat the game just to get it done - but I did and it is!  That said, I'm really happy with the way my first house came out.  I will admit that I intentionally picked full sized beds instead of twins and that effected the size of the entire house.  I thought full sized looked better though, it gave me the room I needed on the split level for both junk and space and I seem to remember Cloud lying diagonal across the bed on his flashback to Nibelheim and it didn't seem twin sized compared to his body length, though I could be making that last one up.  I will also say that the house is not meant for comfortable living.  The woman doesn't even have a useable dining room table for pete's sake and who really needs that many glass bottles either?!  I had to keep resisting the urge to put in extras.  Like windows for instance.  And making all of those bottles booze.  But I wanted to keep it as close to game as possible and even the junk is my attempt at mixing the in-game look with the artist's sketch.  That said, I did add a outhouse in the back.  Which means I also added a door so they don't have to run all the way around the house to get there.  And I also added a few extras in the back as well since it's not seen during the actual game and I wanted to run a bit amok.  I improvised wildly on whatever those giant gold round containers are in-game as well.  Surprise!  Didn't know it was the outhouse roof, did you?  Well, neither did I.  BUT THEY ARE NOW!

Known issues:  painting the front hall is going to be a challenge.  I had to warp the walls to get the door to sit at ground level (due to the split-level requiring me to mess with the walls in the first place).  For the same reason, it seems impossible to hang lights from the ceiling in the middle of the main section of the house.  Creating the split level messed with the game's recognition of ceiling height there and I can't find a way to fix it.  Lights still hang from the ceiling near the walls however.  There may be a pot lurking somewhere in the rafters.  At this point, those are the only issues I'm aware of but feel free to shoot me a PM if anything else shows up.
